Dr. Rosa van Mansfeld

Dr. Rosa van Mansfeld is a Clinical Microbiologist, Medical Head of Infection Prevention & Control at Amsterdam UMC. She is co-lead of the Infection Prevention Implementation research (IPIR) group. She had degrees in both Medicine and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Amsterdam. She did her PhD in the group of Marc Bonten at the University of Utrecht. She did her residency in Medical Microbiology at the University Medical Centre Utrecht. She has been trained in behavioural change.

In the past ten years she has participated in several multidisciplinary research projects like the ENVI-GO-PAN project and the COCON-study on effective infection prevention and transmission risks and initiated and supervised research on implementing Infection Prevention Control in healthcare setting and investigate how we can support health care workers to apply Infection Prevention measures better.

Within MERIT, Dr. van Mansfeld will serve as supervisor on DC2 together with Dr. Mireille Dekker.
